MACINTOSH MONDAY

Macintosh Monday's started off as a place to tell the world about some of the hilarious and frustrating antics of our beloved beagle. Let's be honest there were a fair few...
We had book destruction here. Poorly Macintosh here. There was an awful lot of doormat destruction here. We even had dinner stealing here. Then finally we had his epic transition into desert life here

However since moving to California and reaching the grand old age of 3 Macintosh has rather slowed down. He does still do some hilarious/frustrating things but to be honest most of the time he's like this...

Or perhaps this...

As a result of all his sleeping and slower behaviour there aren't too many incidents to be writing about. Those that do occur don't always have photographic evidence, either because it happens to quickly or because I seem to take photos of too much that I'm afraid my mac won't be able to hold the photo overload!

So I've been thinking, I might just change Macintosh Monday's to a monthly thing where you can get a wonderful roundup of his behaviour and events. I can always do a bonus post if he does something especially funny! So what do we think, have I just lost my last few blog readers after that suggestion?

A FACELIFT

Thought the blog could do with a little freshen up, so whilst you were all asleep in England we had a bit of a play about. We created a new logo that involved placing the beagle on pride rock in front of some fluffy clouds, paired it with a clear cut font that stands out and tweaked a few other little bits to create the new look. Voila!

Enjoy the holidays!

MR MACINTOSH TURNS 2!

Today, June 18th 2014, is Macintosh's 2nd birthday. He has officially moved from puppyhood into adulthood, or so the theory goes! Admittedly he is only just a dog but in fact last year when he turned that all important 1 we were out of the country sunning ourselves on a beach in Majorca with the Keble clan. So we decided to make more of a deal out of it this year. Now before you all freak out we didn't decorate the house or buy him a birthday card or anything weird. We just forced him to wear a birthday hat...

And then gave him lots of presents which he really didn't know what to do with. Usually he shreds paper to get through it but this year (perhaps a sign of his maturity) he let us do all the work for him!

He has enjoyed the morning so far by playing with his toys and sniffing away in the backgarden at all the American smells out there. There'll be a nice long walk in the hot sunny desert and then he's got a real treat at lunchtime as he's off to make some new friends. This evening he'll have a special wet food dinner to celebrate. All in all a great day for a dog. Or in reality, no different to pretty much any other because he has no idea what's going on. This is us purely for us. See!

Andrew wanted to clarify. This is in fact the best day ever for Macintosh because pretty much every day is the best day if it involves eating, walking and playing. "This is the best day ever!"

NEW BLOG LAYOUT

The more observant amongst you may have noticed that whilst you slept Andrew and I have finally re-done the blog! After much blood, sweat and tears....or rather me shouting at Andrew we have finally come to what we think is a good look for the blog.

Feel free to drop a comment below to tell us what you think

WOAH!

Thank you ever so much for your support, we are overwhelmed! Today we reached the grand total of 5000 page views and its still climbing.

We really appreciate you reading the blog and keeping up-to-date with all that is happening both on this side of the pond and stateside. We are looking forward to sharing the next steps of our adventures as Andrew goes back across in January and as we begin to pack up our life here in the UK and box it all ready to ship out. Although 5 months sounds a long time away it's amazing how fast time flies and before we know it we will be living in sunny California.

So we hope you keep on reading, praying for us too if you are the praying kind and generally enjoying our adventures! We would love to hear from you too so feel free to use the comments box.

Lots of love
